Are you still struggling with English pronunciation?

Do you stagger through sentences, slowly saying each word the best you can?

Are you always saying “excuse me?” or “sorry?” because you don’t understand what you’ve heard?

Good pronunciation is a basic part of speaking English well. When you have good pronunciation, you’ll find yourself:

  • Gaining confidence in conversation
  • Understanding spoken English better
  • Learning new words and expressions faster (because you can say them out loud better!)

This is a class that focuses on improving three main areas of pronunciation:

  • English sound production (physically producing those sounds)
  • Rhythm and stress in English sentences (figuring out the music of English)
  • Intonation for correct meaning (adding tone for a more beautiful sound)

Each lesson will cover a particular sound group in English, for example:

  • Voiced / unvoiced consonants
  • Long and short vowel sounds
  • Problematic sound production (the l vs. r problem, for example!)

There will then be a focused practice session with sentence practice that reviews the sounds we worked on earlier.

After each lesson, I will send you a review exercise that you should practice on your own before the next lesson so we can evaluate your practice together.

This course is specifically focused on Pronunciation. You can combine it with other conversation courses to put the things you learn here to use! For example, try this course for theme-related conversation.
