Do you want a good old chin-wag (slang for chat) about newspaper topics ranging from COVID, politics, paparazzi gossip, sports, or fashion, to name a few? If so, then I would love to be your reading and conversation buddy to help you understand the words, meaning, and context of the many articles that appear in different local or international newspapers.
This lesson is designed for students of intermediate to advanced levels of English speaking skill and ability.
My lessons are vocabulary-based for conversation practice. Each lesson is themed to provide meaning and context for learning.
To ensure your ongoing success in learning the English language, the majority of my lessons are designed using a PowerPoint lesson plan and/or flash cards, conversational prompt cards, plus worksheets for vocabulary practice during and after the on-line lesson is finished.
These support tools allow students to practice on their own or together with another English learner, native English speaker, or with an English speaking group.
This lesson includes icebreakers, warm-ups, singing where relevant LOL, as well as fun and friendly discussion throughout the 40 minute timeslot.
