Introduction

Brief Overview of "Le Petit Prince" 

 

Introduce the author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and the main themes of the book.

Show a few illustrations or cover images from "Le Petit Prince" to pique the children's interest.

Reading the Excerpt 

 

Display the text from an excerpt of "Le Petit Prince" in French (choose a segment appropriate for the age and French level of the kids).

Read the passage aloud in French, sentence by sentence, allowing pauses for comprehension and questions.

Explain key words or concepts and encourage children to repeat after you for pronunciation practice.

Interactive Discussion 

 

Ask open-ended questions related to the story, such as "What do you think the Little Prince will do next?" or "What is the lesson in this part of the story?"

Encourage kids to share their thoughts in French or English, depending on their comfort level.

Vocabulary Recap 

 

Highlight and review new vocabulary words from the excerpt, discussing their meanings and pronunciation.

Conclusion and Activity 

 

Summarize the key points of the story and its themes.
