课程介绍
Fluency is the ability to read with speed, accuracy, and proper expression. In order to understand what you read, you must be able to be fluent when reading out loud or silently. When reading out loud, fluent readers read in phrases and add intonation appropriately.
This lesson is designed for those who are familiar with reading English words silently (in your head), but are not as comfortable speaking them out loud.
Reading is a wonderful way to improve your vocabulary, knowledge of a foreign language, and understanding of grammar/sentence structure when speaking. In this lesson, you may read a passage from a book, article, or we can read an A/B conversation. I will take notes as needed on your pronunciation to be reviewed when you are finished. I will also answer any questions regarding vocabulary and expressions within the passage.
This lesson is flexible. I can supply passages or you can choose them if you have something you want to read. We can even set up a series of lessons where we read an entire book together! If you do not have a lot of access to English books, I can provide a list for you to choose from and then send the chosen passages.
When you schedule the lesson, please send me your comfort level with reading and speaking English, and I will try to select passages around your reading level. We can adjust as needed.
This is also a great opportunity to have a fun discussion of the material we read!
The trial lesson is set up as follows:
-Introduction - 5 minutes
-Sample passage - 10 minutes
-Feedback/Discussion - 5 minutes
