A brief overview of the ancient world, focusing on the Near East and Mediterranean basin: Mesopotamia- Egypt- Greece- Rome. Other ancient civilizations can be covered as well according to the students' interests.

Let's Explore ancient history together, from the earliest foundations of civilization until the late Roman Empire and early Mediaeval period. This class is designed for students who have an interest in history and ancient cultures. According to the interests of the students we can focus on individual civilizations or enjoy a broad view of history. The core program is designed to introduce the student to the development of the great civilizations of the ancient world, starting in Mesopotamia and Egypt and moving on to the great classical civilizations of Greece and Rome.
The historical overview will be accompanied by glimpses of the art and literature of those cultures. Maps and geography of the regions discussed will help the student understand these places and the people who lived there.
It is a great journey. The teacher studied these civilizations for 13 years in University and visited hundreds of archaeological sites. Plenty of opportunity for the student to discuss and ask questions.
