In this lesson we will explore vocabulary and conversational skills you may encounter whilst eating out; e.g how to order food, common requests, specific vocabulary!

This lesson is appropriate for all levels as it can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Recommended age - 14+
In this lesson we will begin with a discussion about food, our likes and dislikes, and go over some basic vocabulary related to eating out in restuarants. We will then go on to read a menu together, and will answer some comprehension and reading-based questions to develop an understanding.
Questions welcome throughout the lesson, and we can go at any pace appropriate for the student!
We will then take part in a role play activity, acting out a restuarant situation, and taking it in turns to act as either a waiter/waitress or a customer, exploring relevant questions and answers and making notes as we go.
In the next task, the student will spend some time editing the menu we read earlier in the lesson, removing things they don't like from the menu and replacing them with things they would rather see on the menu.
In the last 5-10 we discuss the results together, and go over what we have learnt this lesson, with feedback and a chance to ask questions. The student then has the option to be assigned homework.
My teaching style is very relaxed and hollistic - we will learn together but we will also have fun! All materials are provided for this lesson, and Skype, using screen share, will be used throughout.
