课程介绍
Talking about current events adds relevance and connection between the classrom and the real world. You can engage in exploring real-world issues and discuss authentic problems using information from current events articles.
In this lesson we use current affairs articles from the following website:
www.breakingnewsenglish.com
There are 7 different levels and it is suitable for students from low-intermediate to upper intermediate level.
How it works:
You can choose an article from the vast variety of different topics on the given website. You can either read the short text in advance or we can read it together so that I can check and, if necessary, correct your pronunciation. We will go through the new vocabulary and discuss the importance of the issues mentioned in the text. I will ask you a lot of questions about the article and how it relates to various aspects of our lives. There are some vocabulary exercises as well, which will be either covered in class or given as homework.

You will learn how to express yourself, how to see and express the relevance of the topic and how to actively start using new words and expressions. You will get to speak a lot which will considerably improve your fluency.
