課程介紹
This course has been designed for and taught at various reputable universities in the Parisian region.
This type of lesson is for:
-university students specializing in English Linguistics or in English Language Studies
-members of the general public interested in improving their oral comprehension
The documents used will be audio recordings based on a particular theme, such as folklore, tourist attractions in cities around the world, literature, works of art, etc. The subject and the level of difficulty will be chosen based on each learner’s interests, goals and initial mastery of the chosen language. A level of at least upper beginner (A2) is advised.
Steps of the lesson:
1). First listening of the audio
2). Discussion of the global themes and ideas of the document
3). Distribution of a worksheet with comprehension questions
4). Reading of the questions and assuring understanding of them
5). Second and, possibly, third listening
6). Giving the student time to formulate answers to the questions
7). Discussion of the answers to check for accuracy of comprehension
8). Revision grammar structures and vocabulary words difficult for the student
