Let's read an extract from Wonder by RJ Palacio together. Perfect for Intermediate students!
I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, as well as TEFL certification, so I will guide you through this reading lesson - I love to talk about novels!
We'll read an extract from the novel together (you can read the whole extract out loud in class to practice your pronunciation, or we can read it by ourselves before class, or take it in turns to read out a paragraph each). As we read, we'll discuss any unfamiliar vocabulary, so you will learn new words as well!
After this, we will talk about what we have read, including the story, the characters, the setting, the themes, the language, or anything else you'd love to discuss about this wonderful fictional world! :-)
