佐藤先生は明るく陽気で、とても話しやすい雰囲気を作てくれました。初めてのレッスンでしたので、お互い自己紹介をしました。私達がすこし夢中になっていて時間があっという間に過ぎてしまった。ニュースを読む時間はわずかでしたが、充実でした。言葉の読み方に迷ったときはいつも先生が助けてくれました。レッスンが終わる前に不明確なところがないのを確認してくれました。

This was my first lesson with Sato sensei. Unlike most teachers that talk Japanese in "Teacher" mode, to make sure students fully understand, she used a very natural Japanese both in speed and choice of words from the beginning which I appreciated and found refreshing. We had a conversation related to the theme of my chosen news article first. That helped me asses my knowledge of the related vocabulary. Then we read the article and she explained the parts I did not understand. Before the end of the lesson, I had the chance to inquire about the words I didn't understand at the beginning of the lesson which was very helpful. This very a very good leaning experience. 佐藤先生と初めてのレッスンの印象です。大体の先生たちは生徒たちが完全に理解出来るように”先生モード”で日本語を話すと思います。しかし、佐藤先生は最初から自然な日本語で話してくださってよかったです。まずは私の選んだ記事のテーマについて少しお話しました。それで、テーマと関係がある単語力をわかるようになりました。後は記事を読み、わからないところを説明していただきました。終わりの前、もう一度不明点を聞くチャンスもあり、レッスンの前半の理解来なかった言葉を確認していただきました。勉強になりました。
