課程介紹
Welcome to Reading Improvement for Kids! In this lesson we focus on reading which helps with increasing your Vocabulary, Improves Memory, Concentration, Communication, Critical Thinking Skills and Intellectual Development.
In this we focus on comprehension reading where I will have reading materials based on the students Grade (between grade 1-5). The stories will range from Fables, Level Reading and Popular Children's Stories.
The Comprehension Execises will include:
- Context Clues
- Cause and Effect
- Compare and Contrast
- Fact vs Fiction
- Fact vs Opinion
The stories will be read out loud to help with improving fluency and pronunciation. If there are any words that the student does not know, they will be explained to ensure they understand the meaning.
As part of the materials used in the lesson, there may be a visual video to allow the student to really understand what is going on in the story. This is also catering the type of students that are more visual learners.
There will also be comprehension questions to allow the student a chance to answer based on the story or reading comprehension.
