This is a conversation lesson based on the textbook “日本語生中継 (Japanese in Live Broadcasting).”

Ⅰ. Why is it that I cannot understand what Japanese speakers are saying, even though I have studied beginner level grammar...?

・It is too fast-paced.
・You are having a hard time understanding sentence-endings such as “けど,” “って,” “し,” “さ,” etc.
・You are having trouble understanding conversations between friends.
・The terms are too different from what you learned in textbooks.
・Your vocabulary is limited.
・You don’t know keigo (honorifics).

Ⅱ. I have passed the N3 or N2, but why am I still unable to speak Japanese...
