Hello,
 
This is to let you know that I have developed a new lesson called Learning English: functions.
 
Often, there are certain kinds of things that we want to do: order food in a cafe or restaurant, say sorry to someone, ask for directions, agree or disagree, express our opinion on a topic, complain about something, or thank someone, and many more.
 
This is language for a special purpose, functional language.
 
These situations recur, that is, happen again and again, so we can learn and reuse certain phrases which are suitable for many occasions.
 
There are different phrases too, appropriate for different kinds of people, from friends to complete strangers.
 
In this lesson, let us look at some of these phrases. We can learn and practise them, and even try a roleplay. If you are interested in a certain kind of situation, then do let me know.
