Happy Holidays and Thank You

2023年12月24日

Dear Students,

As I cross the grand milestone of my 150th lesson on CafeTalk (don't worry, I'm not expecting a trophy... yet), I can't help but thank you all for your lesson requests this year. You've not only kept me busy but you also saved me from talking to my plants about irregular verbs and the mysteries of the English language.

Our lessons have been a whirlwind of intellectual gymnastics, laughter-filled challenges, and moments of pure “Aha!” (mixed with a few “Huhs?”). I've enjoyed every minute, even those spent explaining why “read” and “read” are spelled the same but sound different - English, right?

As we look towards the New Year, I'm excited to continue this journey with you. Let's conquer more confusing grammar, expand our vocabulary (beyond “unprecedented times”), and maybe, just maybe, figure out the difference between “affect” and “effect”.

Wishing you the Happiest of Holidays and a New Year filled with joy, laughter, and fewer tongue-twisting English phrases!

Best regards,

Manning
