Hello! My name is Pride. I live in Cape Town in South Africa. It's very cold here in winter due to the cold front. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Pretoria, and I'm certified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). I've been teaching English professionally for over 3 years.

Teaching English in China:

I taught English conversation and ESL classes for students in China. I enjoyed the Chinese traditional food and their culture. I also enjoyed going to the hot springs near Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan. It was fun and interesting to learn about my students' different cultures.

My teaching style:

My lessons are enjoyable, interesting, and so fun. I love to teach in a kind, relaxed yet professional manner. I am a very enthusiastic, creative and dedicated educator.

I love to motivate and encourage my students to  improve themselves in the best way they can.

I listen carefully during lessons and I will give you plenty of opportunities to speak and I will correct your English.

My lesson materials focus on speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, grammar and new vocabulary. 

I help my students in enhancing their oral and communication skills to become fluent, efficient and confident especially in English. 

I'm excited when my students show improvements!

My interests and hobbies:

I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and discovering new things. I've been to Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Taiwa, Malaysia, and the Philippines. 

I also enjoy listening to music and dancing, hiking, surfing and reading.
