Hello everyone! My name is Hannes, and I am from South Africa.
I have a BA Degree in Information Design as well as a TEFL certificate, and I have been teaching English since March 2018. My journey started when I relocated to South Korea to teach English as a Second Language for students between the ages of 5 and 16 in Seoul.
During 2020, I relocated to an academy in Busan, where I spent three years teaching all aspects of English including speaking, reading, writing, and grammar.
Since 2020, I have also been teaching students via online platforms on a weekly basis. We normally cover everything from speaking all the way through to grammar. I thoroughly enjoy helping people discover the love of language learning, as I am currently learning German while also being a native speaker of Afrikaans and English.
My teaching style is fun, informal, and patient. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn English if they are paired with a patient, caring, and understanding tutor. Naturally, people have different levels of proficiency when it comes to learning, and I adapt my lessons and style to best suit the abilities of the student. One of the biggest issues for people learning a language is the lack of opportunities to practice their conversational skills with native speakers. By offering my services, I aim to provide a judgement-free platform for speaking about everything from the weather to your hopes and dreams for the future, in order to give you the confidence you deserve to speak English effortlessly.
I am comfortable working with learners of all ages. If you are serious about learning, I am serious about teaching you.
