Hello! My name is Miharu and I'm an English conversation tutor!
I have around 10 years of experience teaching English at a major English school, teaching a wide variety of students from infants to seniors. I'm currently teaching students such as infants, students preparing for entrance exams, adults, and seniors at Cafetalk online lessons, in my own classroom, and at a private tutoring school.
My first encounter with English was knowing the song by Mariah Carey, "All I want for Christmas is you". Due to the drama at that time, I was hooked on Mariah Carey and practiced her songs very hard. At the same time, I saw Titanic and fell in love with Leonardo DiCaprio! I remember watching a lot of his movies.
After that, I went to a foreign language university and studied in England for a year. I had a hard time because I did neither have the courage to speak English actively nor the English ability, but now I can think of it as a good memory. One day, I would like to try studying abroad again, even for a short period of time.
I love British culture, such as Bridget Jones, Sherlock Holmes, afternoon tea, and visiting British sightseeing spots! Let's have a chat with me if you like the UK too♪ I've recently started playing the acoustic guitar! I also love THE ALFEE.
【Three Points of the Lesson】
・I will proceed my lessons according to the student's pace and level of understanding.
・I don't only ask a lot of questions, but also encourage students to ask a lot of questions !
(I see many students who can an answer questions, but are not used to asking questions. My
lesson is an active lesson, not a passive one☆)
・You can ask questions in Japanese ! (A vague understanding will not stay in your head.)
Persistence pays off, so I hope that my lessons will be fun and continuable for students.
Talk to you soon,
Miharu
I love to travel and have been to over 20 countries! The photo is of me with a dog I met in Cambodia☆
