Nice to meet you! My name is Hiroko.
I began playing piano over 30 years ago and have been teaching it for over 10 years. Through my lessons, not only do I want to teach you piano, but I also hope to share with everyone the beauty and freedom of the world of music.
I know that “Senseis” are considered great people in Japan, but if that’s the only thing that you focus on and you can’t really ask questions about what you want to learn、then there’s no point to the lesson. I will get rid of that atmosphere and create a space where you can ask as many questions as you want. It is my policy to make the lessons not just about playing, but also about sharing our opinions.
This what I felt the most profoundly after coming to Germany. Over here, if you don’t share your opinions and ask questions, you might be misunderstood as not being motivated and teachers may not understand what you’re thinking. I had a really hard time with that. But now I regret not asking questions back then! I have taught students of all ages since coming to Germany, but all of them have been so proactive that I was a little shocked at first. However, that is exactly what makes for useful lessons. If you ever start feeling confused during class, please don’t hesitate to ask me questions!
Piano isn’t just about technique, but also about expressing your inner emotions. Everyone has their own different ways of doing so. There’s no right or wrong, it’s totally free! That’s why I want to offer you lessons that help you find your own piano world.
Additionally, if you’re thinking about studying abroad in Germany or going abroad to study music, I will make time for you, so please contact me.
