Hello! Welcome and mabuhay! Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m Alanis and you can call me teacher Lala. I’m from the Philippines. I’m here on this platform to teach you English, Filipino (Tagalog), and Cebuano-Visayan (Bisaya).


I took a Bachelor's Degree in Education Major in English and graduated as Magna CumLaude. I have experience teaching kids and adults, virtually and in a physical classroom setting. I love traveling and meeting new people.  I’m a proud environmentalist and a public servant. Aside from teaching students in school, I also teach kids in our community and provide seminars for the adults.   

 

I'd be delighted to help you reach your language goals. My lessons are tailored to your specific needs and interests, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills. Through various exercises and activities, I will ensure that you are able to communicate effectively in English. Together, we will make learning English an enjoyable and rewarding experience!


Further, as a native Tagalog and Cebuano speaker, I will help you whether you are interested in learning daily conversation phrases, understanding Filipino culture, or enhancing your language proficiency for work or travel purposes.


My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I believe that learning a language should be fun and engaging, so I always try to create a positive and friendly learning environment. I understand that every student is unique and has different learning goals, so I tailor my lessons to meet individual needs and preferences. 


During our lessons, you can expect a combination of various teaching methods, including conversation practice, grammar exercises, vocabulary building, and cultural insights. I believe that using authentic materials, such as videos, articles, music, and other learning materials can greatly enhance language learning and provide a deeper understanding of the culture.
