I am running Salon de YOKO, a wine and cheese salon and online school, using the qualifications I have acquired so far. Our instructors are experienced in both online and in-person teaching.
What I want you to feel in my lessons is the depth of the traditional products such as wine and cheese. And the process of learning and understanding them is exciting, uplifting and fun.

In 2014, I launched Salon de YOKO. I started my activities as a lecturer and organizer of events and seminars mainly in Yokohama.

In 2016, I created "Your Room Becomes a Wine School!”. This is the concept behind the online lessons for learning wine and cheese from the basics.
In 2018, I began writing articles about wine for the website.
In 2019, we began holding regular wine and cheese events at certain senior citizen facilities. I also started teaching "Enjoying Wine and Cheese" classes at culture centers in the Tohoku region.

◆Why online lessons?
Currently, there are many wine and cheese schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area and large cities where demand is high, and it is difficult for people who live in rural areas or work irregular hours to attend existing schools. It was four years ago that I started offering online lessons on my website, hoping to be a source of support for such people.
With online lessons, no matter where you live or what your lifestyle is, you can study wine and cheese by simply setting up a web environment. There's no way you can't take advantage of this!
◆Features of the lesson
I think of my lessons as a "gateway" to the world of wine and cheese for beginners.
Therefore, I have decided to prepare the lessons for beginners to intermediate level. I’ll be releasing a variety of lessons in the future, from packaged lessons that give you an overview of wine and cheese, to one-off lessons for something you're interested in.
Both lessons explain basic knowledge in an easy to understand and systematic manner so that what is learned is organized and easy to understand.
I try to keep the essential knowledge in a compact format, avoiding expert-oriented explanations that may seem boring to the audience.
