Hi there! Welcome to my page - are you looking to get fit (Gymnastics/Yoga) or learn a language (English/Japanese) ? You've come to the right place!
I am a language and fitness teacher from London and am now expanding my business online for all my students. I have been in both fields for many years and have devloped my own teaching methods for beginners all the way to advanced levels.
In my lessons I add information on the history and development of the subject (both in fitness and in languages). I also break down specifics that are required to fully grasp the concepts of what is being taught as I believe this is just as important as the textbook information. Imagine the difference between living in Japan (to learn the language) and studying Japanese at an English school.
To give a brief background introduction on myself: I am a 23 year old coach/teacher living in the heart of London. My parents came from their respective countries Ghana (Father) and Japan (Mother) to London, England, and met at a language school in the 1980s. Growing up, I attended a Japanese literacy school in London and learned how to write Kanji and the literature to the national year 6 curriculum.
As I got older I always wanted to share my knowledge of the language however my heart was also deeply into fitness and wellbeing. I started Parkour/Gymnastics training at 18 as a way to improve my health and discipline. At 22, I also took up MMA (Mixed martial art) and Breathwork - I then recieved my needed qualifications, found many clients and was coaching full time.
After Personal Training for a year at gyms in the city, I started teaching English online and then explored Japanese teaching also. Since then I have developed my personal style of teaching and my passion to help students has only grown.
