Hi! I'm Emiko and I currently live in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I was raised overseas when I was a little kid and I attended an international school. When I returned to Japan, I graduated from a middle school that was part of an American international school, and entered a Japanese high school that had a lot of returnee children. 

After that, I graduated from a university that offered classes in English and worked as a business analyst at a foreign banking institution for 3 years. 

In 2007, I started a consulting firm that helps companies expand their businesses to places like Hong Kong, London, New York, and Milano. With support from various industries such as fashion, music, design, and art, we spend our days primarily using English for negotiations and presentations. 

In December 2013, we established a branch in Amsterdam and are now expanding businesses in Europe. 

I have been an English conversation teacher and private tutor since my high school days. Since everyone's experiences with English are so different, I work with my students to customize their lesson plans in order to meet their personal goals. 

For example, if someone wanted to start working abroad but needed 200 more points on the TOEIC, then I would create a TOEIC prep class. I would analyze their strong and weak points and calculate exactly how much time they needed, then create a lesson plan based on that. 

I offer lessons on correct pronunciation, English used in business scenes and presentations, and entrance exams/interviews for foreign companies. I correct compositions as well. Please see the lesson details for more info.
