My name is Edit. I am living in Japan, but I was born in Hungary. I attended a Hungarian-English bilingual secondary grammar school, where I studied four subjects in English: History, Maths, Biology, and American-British Civilization. I developed my love for the English language and later on a deep interest in Asian cultures, so I continued my studies in Japanology at the university of ELTE. I gained valuable knowledge about the Japanese language and culture there. I especially enjoyed the lessons about different Japanese 祭り (matsuri), so I decided to write my thesis on Obon.
I came to Japan in 2020 for the first time with a working holiday visa. I started working as an English teacher at a language school and a preschool in Himeji. I made unforgettable memories here and I have learned a lot about kids. I also had a lot of opportunities to travel and explore many uniquely beautiful places in Japan. After one year, I was offered a working visa by the same company and I happily accepted it. I returned to Hungary for a short time to finish my studies, then I came back again. I have been teaching English in Japan for more than two years now. I also have IELTS and TEFL certificates. I have met many students and have carried out different types of lessons both offline and online.

I focus on creating a relaxed environment during my lessons, where students are encouraged to speak freely and make mistakes. Despite the fact that making mistakes is crucial for development, I realized that this is something that most Japanese students are afraid of. I believe that I am welcoming and super friendly and my aim is to motivate my students to reach their language goals.  As for my hobbies, I enjoy doing yoga, reading novels, learning languages, and traveling. Currently, I am preparing for the JLPT N2 level.


The types of lessons I offer:

  • Eiken exam preparation (I have already helped many students to pass their Eiken examinations)
  • conversational English lessons about different topics that interest the students
  • daily new lessons
  • lessons for correcting and improving pronunciation
  • lessons for enhancing reading and listening skills
  • vocabulary lessons about a given topic

エディトと申します。私は日本に住んでいますが、ハンガリーで生まれました。 私はハンガリー語と英語のバイリンガルの高校に通い、歴史、数学、生物学、アメリカとイギリスの文明の 4 つの科目を英語で学びました。 私は英語が好きになり、その後アジアの文化に深く興味を持ち、ELTE 大学で日本学の勉強を続けました。そこで日本語と日本文化について貴重な知識を得ることができました。 日本のさまざまな祭りについての授業が特に楽しかったので、卒業論文をお盆について書くことにしました。

2020年にワーキングホリデービザで初めて日本に来ました。 姫路の語学学校とプリスクールで英語の先生として働き始めました。 ここで忘れられない思い出をたくさん作り、子供たちについて多くのことを学びました。 また、日本で多くのユニークで美しい場所に行く機会もたくさんありました。 1年後、同じ会社から就労ビザのオファーをもらって、喜んで受け入れました。 勉強を終えるためにしばらくハンガリーに戻りましたが、再び日本に戻ってきました。 私は日本で2年間以上英語を教えています。 IELTS と TEFL の証明書も持っています。 私は多くの学生に出会い、オフラインとオンラインの両方でさまざまな種類のレッスンを実施してきました。

レッスン中はリラックスした環境を作ることに重点を置いており、生徒は自由に話せるために、間違いをすることを励まします。 間違うとは上達のため重要だという事実にもかかわらず、これはほとんどの日本人学生が恐れていることだと気づきました. 私は親しみやすく、とてもフレンドリーだと思います. 趣味としては、ヨガをしたり、小説を読んだり、語学を学んだり、旅行したりしています。今、日本語能力試験N2レベルの準備をしています。
