Hello! I am Malou and I am from the Philippines. I live in a quaint town on Mindanao island where the beach and the mountains are just 30 minutes to an hour away. I enjoy being surrounded by nature together with my family.
I am a single mother to a 6-year-old boy who loves devouring books and enjoys learning and discovering new things. I have been happily homeschooling for the past few years, which has led me to develop a passion for teaching. I have worked as an English teacher and private tutor to Chinese, South Korean, and Japanese students since July 2022. I am adept in simplifying lessons and activities to help students build proficiency, overcome language barriers, and develop English language skills useful for effective communication. I work closely with students to address and resolve learning challenges. In my class, I encourage my students to speak English, express themselves as best they can, and embrace their enthusiasm for learning a second language.
I am very flexible, which means I tailor my lessons according to the request of my students. Be it as a professional tutor or a friend with whom you can practice a simple daily conversation, I will sit with you and talk about anything under the sun that is appropriate. I can ensure a respectful, bright, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere.
