Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm an English teacher from Ireland. Over the past few years, I have been teaching English to adults and children, both online and in person.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and TEFL certificates. I enjoy teaching all ages and skill levels! Beginners welcome.
About me
My first language is English and my second is Irish, although I don't get many opportunities to speak Irish. In my spare time, I like to keep active by practising yoga and walking or hiking. I also love to read, travel, and try new things! I'm about to start surfing classes and I'm trying to learn Spanish.
Throughout my teaching experience, I taught a wide range of topics to all ages and levels. I taught ages 14 to 18 in a public high school in Thailand for a semester. This was mostly done over Google Meet and Classroom due to the pandemic. For a year, I taught ages 1 to 6 in a Montessori kindergarten in Hanoi. I've been consistently tutoring adults on a one-to-one basis, mostly focusing on conversation and pronunciation.

You will find several different lessons listed in my profile. One of the most popular among them is 'English Reading and Discussion'. This lesson is a great opportunity to work on pronunciation and talking freely about a range of topics.
I also have lessons for kids, interview prep, proofreading, etc. If there's something in particular you'd like to work on but don't see it in a lesson, send me a message and we can figure it out!
