◎ Fukumaru’s Passion - Making Traditional Music More Accessible!

Beginners in Japanese music and students who have no experience with musical instruments are also welcome!

When you hear the words “traditional music,” you may think it sounds difficult.
In this lesson, you will learn about the history and characteristics of music and instruments by viewing PDF materials and videos, instead of hands-on practice of Japanese musical instruments.

When my students listen to the songs from the video, they often give me comments that the music was “nostalgic” and “calming,” and that it softened their feelings. When we talk about musical instruments, they sometimes find similarities with instruments they know along with discovering new interests. Even if it is difficult to look for the information on your own, you can use the songs in my lessons as a clue to expand your interests.♪

I know that many of you love music, so why not add a little traditional music to your enjoyment? I can help you take the first step to expand your world of music.

No prior knowledge is necessary. You can also learn more about Japanese culture through my lessons.♪

Before I got married, my life was all about music, but after my children were born, my world expanded along with their interests.

Besides music, I am also interested in ballet, sports, insects, anime (Dragon Ball, Naruto, Pokemon, etc.). I have also experienced various types of lessons with my children (ballet, piano, violin, swimming, gymnastics, abacus, tutoring, online English conversation, etc...).

◎ Message to Everyone
It is quite common for Japanese students majoring in music to know very little about Japanese music, so there is nothing to be shy about.

On Cafetalk, I aim to provide lessons where you can learn in a casual yet serious manner.
Whether you want to learn more about music, Japanese, or ypou ant to take a trial lesson, please feel relaxed in any of my lessons.
