I work as a “data analyst” for a company during the week, and as a freelance “illustrator” on the weekends.My name is Yu.Yoshi and I am a Cafetalk tutor!

Junior and senior high school: Member of a school art club. Won prizes in drawing competitions in the prefecture and nationwide.
L Fukui Prefecture drawing competition: received bronze, silver and gold medals.
L Won a prize at the Art Club Grand Prix in SAKAI.
University and graduate school: Majored in physics at a national university.
Completed my postgraduate studies at the same university (on Quantum Materials Science).
~Present day: Experienced data analyst/data scientist in the manufacturing and HR industries. Responsible for big data analysis and AI model development.

2020 onwards: Established a design T-shirt e-commerce shop “CANMI.”
Involved in designing and selling original merchandise.

～Drawing and painting～
Since my student years, I have mastered a variety of painting techniques from
- Pencil drawing (sketching)
- Watercolour painting
- Oil painting
My lessons are
designed for beginners in art, based on my concept
“EASY, FREE and FAMILIAR.”
Do you ever feel that painting is

“preparing and managing art materials is a hassle”?
I strongly felt like this...
This led me to the ball-point pen art, which is a cross between sketching and Illustration.
Anyone can start this art form with just one pen at hand.

～IT courses for working adults～
In my current job, I deal with the following areas
- “Demand forecasting” using regression analysis
- “Correlation and causal analysis” using causal inference and Bayesian statistics
Although I have a degree in sciences, I started with absolutely no experience in this type of data analysis.
I studied all of this on my own, and after switching careers, I am now working as a full-time data analyst.
In my lessons,
we will talk about data and AI applications under the concept of
“Get together, maths haters! IT tech for first timers.”
