Hello! My name is Zoleka and I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am TEFL certified and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Library and information science and i am currently doing my honours in psychology. I have been teaching English to students of all levels online for 3 years. My classes focus on various subjects, such as Basic Grammar, and Conversation, to more specialized lessons such as Business English, Accent Reduction, and english for work, vocabulary and interview preparation.
I know 4 of South Africa's 11 official languages and I understand the process of learning another language, and I believe it's different for each learner, too. So, I try to adjust my teaching style according to my student's age, level, learning needs, and preferences. That way, I can provide individualized, fun, and engaging lessons.
My lessons are enganging and interactive and i promote critical thinking, talking time, activities and demonstrations.
I love reading and exploring into different worlds and some of my favourite books are the great gatsby, the power of now, me before you and the list goes on..
If you prefer not to use the camera, audio lessons are welcome, too. Just let me know when you make a lesson request. :)
