Hello! My name is Dina, and I am passionate about learning and teaching.
Teaching Style
My teaching style can be best described as FUN and INTERACTIVE, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated throughout their learning process. I employ the F.I.R.E. approach in my classroom:
Fun: I incorporate games, activities, and multimedia resources to make learning enjoyable.
Interactive: I encourage active participation and communication among students. -
Relatable: I connect lessons to real-life situations and students' interests to enhance understanding.
Engaging: I use various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and keep students interested.
Teaching Background
Over the years, I have gained significant experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds. Previously, I worked at a language school, instructing students from countries such as Japan, Russia, Italy, Taiwan, Korea, and many others. Currently, I am teaching in Japan, where I have had the privilege of working in public schools, guiding both elementary and high school students in their English language learning journey.
I am a licensed teacher with TESOL Certification.
PS: I love the beach, sunset, and nature. In the Philippines, I do scuba diving.
Personal Experience
When I first came to Japan, I was a language student myself, studying Japanese. This experience has given me insight into the challenges of learning a new language. I understand how difficult it can be to express oneself in a foreign language, which is why I strive to create a supportive and empathetic learning environment. Although I have a basic level of Japanese and am continuously learning, I am well aware of the struggles my students might face. This awareness helps me tailor my teaching methods to meet your needs effectively.
I look forward to helping you on your language learning journey and making it a fun and enriching experience!
