I offer free “cafe time” (a session for parents and guardians to chat and get to know me). Please feel free to use this session to ask any questions you may have.
Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Yuko.sensei, and I a a math tutor who enjoys working with children. I obtained a graduate degree (majoring in mathematics) from a national university in Japan, and I also obtained a teaching license for junior and senior high school. From my student days up to now, I have been involved in education as a private tutor (arithmetic, mathematics, English), cram school tutor (mathematics), vocational school teacher (physics and mathematics), and after going abroad, as a supplementary school teacher (arithmetic and Japanese) and as a tutor for local children (mathematics and Japanese).
I had always been good at studying, including mathematics until junior high school, but when I entered a competitive high school, my grades suddenly dropped and I had a hard time. Through trial and error, I came to love studying and I was able to go on to graduate school. I understand both the feelings of students who feel that they are not good at studying as well as students who are good at studying, so I can offer advice on how to tackle each of their problems.
With online tutoring, lessons can be tailored to the student’s individual level of understanding, ranging from basic textbook content to complex applications. From homework assistance and daily study pacesetting to exam preparation, I will tailor my lessons to meet the student’s individual needs and goals.
