Hello! My name is Kelsey and I’m from Melbourne, Australia ♡


I graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese studies. I really like studying languages as well as art, watching movies, reading books & comics and listening to music.


I’m a big K-pop fan and would be very happy to chat about that! BTS is my favourite group   (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Please note that I don't hold teaching qualifications, but I’ve studied languages for a long time and understand how stressful learning can be. This has helped me understand what study methods work well, but of course it depends on a student's individual goals and preferences.


I hope that I can create a comfortable environment for students where they feel like they can make mistakes and take their time! I want to create a friendly environment and support students as much as possible ♡ 


About lessons:

  • I encourage students to be active in speaking - I know it can be scary but you will grow!
  • I want students to feel comfortable to make mistakes - they are a normal and important part of learning!
  • Lessons would be flexible and customisable. Please let me know what you like (hobbies, sports, etc.), what you would like help with and how confident you feel so I can create something suitable ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ
  • Lesson structure may change depending on topic, but I'd like to work together looking at materials and actively practising to build confidence.
