【Greetings】
Hello! My name is Kaoru Miyamoto.
I provide lessons on Cafetalk, mainly helping students write personal statements and self-recommendation letters required for university and graduate school applications.
I can also provide consultation for writing a personal statement for anyone job-hunting.
【Tutor Profile】
I was born in Okinawa, and currently reside in Tokyo
After graduating from university, I worked for a private company, and then began teaching English and essay writing at a prep school in Tokyo.
I taught students preparing for high school and university entrance exams. I have 14 years of teaching experience.
I enrolled in a master’s program in education at a graduate school to learn how to assist students who have difficulty with writing. I earned a master’s degree in pedagogy.
【My motto as a tutor】
As a tutor who teaches how to write personal statements, self-recommendation letters, and personal appeal letters, my most priority is to create an atmosphere in which students feel at ease talking about their experiences and aspirations.The two main focuses in my lessons are:
・Providing a general structure for your text.
・To enhance the content of your text.
However, it is very important that I do not teach one-sidedly, but rather ask the student to think and decide what they want to emphasize in their writing.
For this reason, I place great importance on having my students share their own experiences and goals for the future.
The goal of my lessons are to not only help students create well-formed sentences, but also to give them confidence in expressing themselves and a sense of self-affirmation.
