Hello! I'm Alipio（アリピオ）
About me
I was born and raised bilingually in Los Angeles, California. I have a bachelor's degree in Linguistics from UCLA (go Bruins!) and am TEFL-certified. Before teaching, I worked as a certified interpreter/translator for 4 years. I lived and taught English in Japan for 2 years. Currently, I am living and teaching English in Spain!
My Lessons
Due to the nature of my lessons, turning your camera ON is expected. If you do not have a camera or can't turn video on, please refrain from requesting my lessons.
Lessons will be conducted in English for all levels. I may use your native language as reference sometimes.
You may take notes if you like, but it is not necessary. I will take all notes. My correction style is taking notes while you talk, then show you 15 or so minutes after. I prefer delayed correction to immediate correction.

Japan life
I lived and taught English in Japan for 2 years (2020 - 2022). I lived in 4 different prefectures: Aichi, Shizuoka, Kanagawa, and Tokyo. I have also visited multiple major cities of Kansai and Kyushu on vacation. My hobby is studying the Japanese language. I love kanji! My favorite Japanese food is natto. Do you like natto?
