About me
Hello, I'm Mun Yee, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I like reading, seeing new places and going on long walks.



I have a Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from Cambridge, obtained at the British Council in Kuala Lumpur and a background in business and finance.

I speak English at work. It is the language of trade and business. My education was conducted in both Malay and English. With family and friends, I speak a mix of Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Malay.

The multi-racial environment I live in gives plenty of opportunities to put languages to use daily at work or play, at home and while learning. That's why I find using language in everyday contexts the most effective and natural way to learn.

At work, I was involved in setting up new departments, implementing new systems and training people. Many times I had to learn from scratch too. 
 
After I left corporate work, it was important to keep improving myself. So I took up life coaching and instructing yoga for fun. Learning is a life-long journey I enjoy and value.

For you
I give you a safe space to learn and practise. And while you're at it, have fun in an informal setting. We all learn better from our mistakes so aim to make lots of it. You set the pace with full support from me.

Presently, I teach students aged 15 years and above.
