Hello. My name is Taeko, and I am a vegan Japanese language teacher.
I love Osaka and have continued to lived here since I was born.
After graduating from college, I spent a year in London for language study and then I opened a coffee shop in a business district where I managed it for 18 years. After that I became a licensed nursery school teacher, working at a daycare center for three years, and I am currently keeping myself busy as a freelance babysitter. At the request of their parents, I sometimes help them study or teach them how to play the piano.
Because of my background, I enjoy talking to people of all ages, from children to adults.
Even now, I am continuing to study English, as I enjoy traveling abroad and getting to know different cultures.
I am looking forward to talking to and getting to know all of you. I will do my best to respond to your wishes to be able to speak Japanese.
During my days off, I enjoy playing the piano, which is one of my hobbies, as well as cooking and eating the meals I prepared. I am a vegan, which can be rare in Japan, so I also like to explore things related to beauty and health. I would love to hear your about stories as well. I can also teach the Osaka dialect, if any of you are interested.
In 2024, I completed the entire 420 hours of The World Japanese Language Centre’s Japanese language teacher training course.
