Past Tense: Talking About Vacations in Europe!

Yara

Read the text and try to answer the following questions:

1 - What structure/words do I use to talk about the past? Give two examples! What is the difference between the two?
2 - If you could travel somewhere this summer, where would you go?
3 - Or, if you already have plans to go somewhere, where are you going?

--------

I just came back from a wonderful vacation with my family in Greece.

We stayed in Greece for two weeks, spending the first week in Athens, and the second week in an island called Antiparos.

While we were there, we swam in the sea, ate (a lot), played cards, and just chilled out
We also caught up on some well-needed sleep!

We were quite a big group (about 10 people), so it would always take us a long time to do anything.

Generally, this is how I would start my day there:
I would wake up and have a coffee with some almond milk or oat milk, or have a cold-brew coffee.
Then, I would sit with my family. After I felt a little more awake, I'd do a yoga class (either online with my teacher or on YouTube).

We would usually go to the beach around 12pm, have a light lunch there and swim in the sea.

Then, after staying in the sun for so long, we'd get quite tired and go home to shower and just chill out in bed or on the couch. Some of us would play cards, some of us would catch up on a little bit of work, and I would study a language or read a book!

The famous 'eye'. Do you know what it represents?

Beautiful Antiparos!

Our sunbeds by the sea!

Fresh Scampi - we ate this at least three times!

I hope you enjoyed my little story!
