Changing our writing environment can sometimes boost our interest in writing and remain memorable as an experience too. It can be exciting to switch your place of writing and you might just find your perfect place for journaling which could motivate your writing habit further.
Here are a few different places you could consider when you decide to write your next journal:
1) Your Local Café
Having your own room may not always be necessary. A change of environment could get your writing juices flowing just as well. So, why not consider dosing up on a little caffeine or your next ice-blend and get writing.
2) The Library
The hustle and bustle of a busy environment may not always be the perfect place for many of us who might need silence before putting pen to paper. In fact, our home could offer plenty of distractions too – the tv, radio, sounds of the dishwasher, kids etc. So, why not consider surrounding yourself with plenty of books instead to test your writing ability and see if you craft better journals here. Finding your space at the neighbourhood library might just do the trick.
3) The Park
A park could boost creativity as well as get you some shinriyoku as you meditate on what to write about. Don’t just stick to writing. You could consider adding a little sketch to your journal write-ups as well!
4) On the train
Some of us struggle to find the time to write as we’re either working and then get busy with household chores once we get home before finally turning into bed. Why not use your commute times productively by typing a short journal through your device.
I hope some of the above ideas give you a boost to kickstart your very first journal!
