A Trio Treat

Lenn

What made you smile today?  I chanced upon these adorable creatures at Pier 39 and they just made my day.  Unabashedly napping in full view of onlookers who cannot help but stare, smile, chuckle or laugh, what a pose! notice the hind flippers?

Have you ever wondered why they're called Sea Lions?  I've read that they do roar and even bark.  Some species of male sea lions also grow mane, just like the hair around male lions.  It's interetsing to know too that males are called bulls, females are called cows and babies are pups.  They have tiny ear flaps which distuinguish them from seals.

Animals are really a gift, just the mere sight of them can give joy.   Their sound; meow, chirp, moo, click, neigh, croak, buzz, and all, akin to music.

Would you like to take animals for topic of discussion in a Conversation Practice?  Let's talk about them in my Lesson : Discourse.
