On the beautiful island of Barbados. There are many amazing things but two amazing things are my favorites... The gorgeous clear beaches in the photo above, and Crop Over. Crop Over occurs from June to August every year in the 'summer'. Even though Barbados technically always exists in a permanent state of the summer season, it's especially hot and sunny during this time. During the Crop Over Festival there are many kinds of events such as cultural events, garden parties, concerts, party cruises, fettes and so much more. My personal favorite are the concerts and the two biggest cultural events in the beggining of August, Kadooment Day and Foreday Morning. This summer has been amazing, but in the coming weeks in August I will get to enjoy a concert, a garden party and a cultural event celebrating 40 years of Soca, our regional music. This summer, of course, I've enjoyed the beach, brunch at cafes, lunch at local food truck parks, fun walks along the coast. But in August, I will be checking out our observatory, forest hikes in the gully, more beach days and hopefully I can also take another visit to our awe-inspiring cave that is completely white and made of coral stone. In relation to my involvement with sign language, I am looking foward to more sign language socials in the city and markets that allow these persons to sell they creative items.
You can always discuss more about these cultural events and tell me about yours too!
What are your plans?!
