Making a Thai omelet over rice is a simple and delicious dish! Here’s easy steps guide to help you prepare it
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (or soy sauce for a vegetarian option)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for frying
For Serving:
- cooked rice (Japanese rice or Jasmine rice)
- Sriracha or chili sauce (optional)
Prepare the Omelet Mixture:
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the fish sauce until well combined.
- Once the oil is hot, pour in the egg mixture. Tilt the pan to spread the eggs evenly.
- Let the eggs cook undisturbed for a minute or so until the edges start to set.
- Gently lift the edges with a spatula to allow any uncooked egg to flow to the edges.
- When the omelet is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, you can fold it in half if you prefer a classic omelet shape or leave it flat
Place a serving of warm rice on a plate.
- Top the rice with the cooked omelet
- put a chiili sauce or chilly pepper on the omelet if you like a bit of spice.
Enjoy your Thai omelet over rice! I cook this menu very often when i run out of time. it is so easy and yummy. อร่อยมากๆ ค่ะ
