文法の投稿シリーズ4 - noch dazu / おまけに

Dietz

Have you ever been so exasperated, not knowing what to do, and then it gets even worse? Well, in these cases, you would use the "noch dazu" expression in German.

"Noch dazu" is used to add an extra point to an already mentioned statement, typically with an emphasis that includes a good portion of exasperation or surprise.

In English, we tend to use "on top of that":

- On top of that, he lied straight to my face.
- Noch dazu hat er mich direkt angelogen.
In Japanese "おまけに" is used.
おおまけに、彼は私に直接噓をついた。
Or
「その上」や「さらに」も使いますね。
