Hello Everyone!
I wanted to post today about a fun Halloween event that my family went to over the weekend.
We had a Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular festival at the local Carillon (Pronounced: KARE - ih - lon) in our city over the weekend. It was held Friday and Saturday nights. The Carillon (which is a large bell tower that is played like a piano) was played every half hour with a few fun Halloween themed songs that sounded spectacular on it! There were food trucks, and the main theme for the evening: Jack-O'-Lanterns! There were so many jack-o'-lanterns that we didn't even get to see them all. The pumpkins were spread all around the park under the Carillon. Everyone could walk up and down the paths to look at all of the amazing (And some bad!) carvings that people had done on their jack-o'-lantern. I think there were around 2,000 jack-o'-lanterns! Below are some pictures of the festival that I took.
This is the Carillon. For the festival, it had lights and many, many pumpkins all around the base. The ones you can see in the picture are just a very small that were decorating the park.
One of the entrance areas with a lovely old wagon and some extra large pumpkins. And, of course, straw bales!
Night was starting to come and all the lights came on! Now we can properly see the jack-o'-lanterns' candles.
Just one of the many (many, many!) carved pumpkins. This person did a really cool job! (I do not know who did it. Almost none of the pumpkins had names.)
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful fall season! Have you seen any kind of Halloween or fall festival in your area? Feel free to write a comment about it or, if you want to talk about it, you can book a Daily Conversation lesson (https://cafetalk.com/lessons/detail/?id=21999&lang=en) and we'll chat!
Have a great day!
