Hey everyone! The past 5 days have been pretty quiet near my house since everyone is either in a different province or in the city enjoying the festivities of Songkran. Songkran is a 5 day festival that celebrates the Thai "New Year."The reason for the water is because it is so hot! April is the driest and hottest month in Thailand.
During Songkran people visit their relatives, go to the temple to honor the buddha with water rituals and go to huge water fights! It is a very fun time. Personally, I took advantage of the quiet neighborhood and worked on some projects that I am doing, but last year I was apart of the water fight.
If you have the chance I recommend that you come to Thailand and experience Songkran! It is worth the trip!
