Haiku Hero Creativity Class is all about building up your English skills in a unique and creative way! Pronouncing foreign words takes a lot of bravery, that is why I call it the Haiku Hero class.
Something I often hear Beginner students have trouble with is wondering how to pronounce new words. The perfect way to face this challenge is by learning how to sound out your syllables in English. It really helps break words down so you can say and understand them easier!

This class is designed for beginner students who want to practice their pronunciation. It is great for children or adults. Though, students of all levels can enjoy this class with the additional challenges.
There are a lot of rules when writing a traditional Haiku but in this class, for beginner purposes, we will keep it nice and easy. We will focus on writing observational poems using the 5-7-5 rule. At the beginning of class, I will show an example of a famous Haiku in English and we will count and sound out the syllables in each line together. After, I will encourage you to begin creating your poems.
I will write your poems out for you as you create them so you can show your friends or family! At the end of each class, I will encourage my student to read their poems with pride!
If you are an Intermediate or Advanced student who wants more of a challenge:
-Write your Haiku.
-Be given vocabulary words that you must include.
-Try to capture a complex feeling in your writing, I will try to guess the feeling. Then explain in detail how the words and tone of your poem relate to the feeling.
