A Course in Contemporary Chinese, Modern Chinese, etc.

It is arguable that whether textbooks are necessary or not when it comes to learning a foreign language. However, textbooks do provide fundamental knowledge one needs via systematical lessons. It is thus suggested for beginners to book this lesson and start from one of the textbooks you feel comfortable with. Later on, all resources in our life, such as TV series, YouTube videos, etc, can be practical materials.

利用最新的華語教材（《當代中文課程》、《時代華語》、《來！學華語》、《台灣萬花筒.華語看世界》、《新版實用視聽華語》等），有系統地全面提升華語能力。
《當代中文課程》是國立臺灣師範大學所編寫開發的新教材，一共六冊程度相的於CEFR A1至C2 (入門 --> 精通)。重視句型的使用語境和功能，課文提供漢語拼音（pinyin）與繁體中文對照以及英文翻譯（附錄則有簡體中文課文）對學繁體字的學員較為方便。這套教科書在日本也買得到。
《時代華語》則是由台灣七所著名公私立大學語言中心所共通策劃，是目前最新的華語教材，一共七冊從入門到精通等級，強調主題式訓練與實際活用。課文提供漢語拼音、繁體字、簡體字以及英文對照。
