  1. Recognize and Identify Letters: Learn to identify both uppercase and lowercase letters and associate each letter with its name.

  2. Explore Letter Sounds: Develop an understanding of the sounds each letter makes, focusing on the beginning sounds of words (e.g., A = /æ/ as in apple, B = /b/ as in bat).

  3. Build Letter-Sound Relationships: Understand how individual sounds correspond to letters, including consonant and vowel sounds.

  4. Practice Blending Sounds into Words: Learn how to blend individual sounds to form simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words (e.g., cat, dog).

  5. Create Simple Sentences: Practice constructing sentences using familiar words to enhance their understanding of how letters and sounds combine to form meaning.

By the end of this lesson, students will have a stronger foundation in the alphabet and phonics, enabling them to begin forming basic words and simple sentences, advancing their literacy skills.
