Objective:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Understand the basic structure and purpose of a LinkedIn profile.
- Identify key sections of a resume.
- Create or enhance their own LinkedIn profile and resume.
Lesson Outline:
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
- Objective: Set the context and explain the importance of LinkedIn profiles and resumes.
- Activity:
- Start with a brief discussion about job hunting and career development.
- Share explanation of LinkedIn as a professional networking platform and the resume as a tool to present skills and experiences.
2. Understanding LinkedIn Profiles (10 minutes)
- Objective: Learn about the key sections of a LinkedIn profile.

3. Understanding Resumes (10 minutes)

- 2-3 bullet points under “Experience” using past jobs, internships, or volunteer work.

4. Practical Application (5-10 minutes)
- Objective: Start creating or improving their LinkedIn profile and resume.
- Activity:
- Task: Give students 5 minutes to begin filling out their LinkedIn profile (if they don’t have one) or update it with a headline and “About” summary.
5. Q&A and Wrap-Up (5 minutes)
- Objective: Address any remaining questions and recap key points.
- Activity:
- Q&A Session: Allow students to ask questions about LinkedIn or resumes.
- Recap: Summarize the key takeaways: the importance of a professional LinkedIn profile and a well-organized resume.
