Lesson: Getting to know you (New students only)
1. Lesson background:
- Target: This lesson is great for intermediate to advanced level English learners. High school students to adults will find this lesson most enjoyable.
- Topic: Casual introductions and getting to know each other. I want to find out more about your experience with learning English and some challenges you faced, as well as your future vision for your English learning. After this, I will provide some advice and possible action steps for you.
- Outcome/s: This lesson has many opportunities for practicing English speaking and listening. Mostly, this lesson will give you valuable insight into yourself and ideas for ways to improve your English learning experience.
- This lesson can be taken once or twice by new students.
- Lesson Duration: 20 minutes
2. Lesson layout:
- Introduction: First off, we will exchange basic greetings, and you tell me a bit about yourself.
- Main activity: Here, I will ask you several questions about your past English learning experiences and challenges, and touch on your future vision for your English learning.
- Conclusion: I will provide some feedback and ideas for ways to improve your English learning experience and achieve your goals.
