A one-to-one online English class for kids typically lasts 25 minutes and is designed to engage young learners in an interactive and dynamic learning experience. Here's a breakdown of what it entails:
1. Introduction (5 minutes):
- Greet the student warmly and establish rapport.
- Engage in some simple icebreaker activities to make the student comfortable and to gauge their language level.
- Outline what will be covered in the session.
2. Warm-Up Activity (5 minutes):
- The class kicks off with a fun warm-up activity to get the students energized and focused on English.
- This involves singing a song, playing a quick game related to vocabulary, or doing a short language-related exercise.
3. Main Activity (10 minutes):
- For beginners, this might involve vocabulary practice through flashcards, learning basic phrases through repetition, or simple picture-based exercises.
- Intermediate students might engage in reading short stories or passages, practicing conversation skills through role-plays, or learning grammar concepts through interactive exercises.
- Advanced students might focus on more complex reading comprehension activities, discussing topics of interest, or working on writing skills through creative prompts.
4. Guided Practice (3 minutes):
- After introducing new concepts or practicing language skills, I'll guide the student through some practice exercises.
- This could involve asking questions, prompting the student to use newly learned vocabulary or structures in sentences, or providing corrections and feedback as needed.
5. Review and Feedback (2 minutes):
- Summarize what was covered in the class and reinforce key points.
- They provide positive feedback on the student's progress and offer constructive criticism where necessary.
- Any questions or concerns from the student are addressed before concluding the session.
Throughout the class, I'll employ various teaching techniques to keep the student engaged, such as using props, incorporating multimedia resources, and adapting their teaching style to suit the student's learning preferences. The atmosphere is supportive and encouraging, fostering a positive learning environment where the student feels motivated to participate and improve their English skills.

Cancellation of pack lessons
• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack
• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
