Kursinhalt

After contemplating on a way to share my expertise more widely with students who are unable to make time for online lessons, I have decided to create a recorded lesson to share with you!
This will be the first of my series of recorded lessons on how to read and summarize critical texts.
I hope that students of all ages who want to improve their reading comprehension and summarizing skills will find this video useful.

*****

Over our daily lives, we regularly read a text or listen to someone speaking and ask ourselves, “What are the main points?” to grasp the main point of what is being said or written, and even explaining the content in a simple manner to someone else.
Although it is such a trivial action,
Do you really understand correctly what the other person is trying to say?
Are you able to output it in a straightforward manner?
In order to convey your own opinion to someone else, you must first and foremost have a correct understanding of the other person’s ideas. Whether or not you really understand the content can be confirmed by whether or not you can summarize and output it.

In this recorded lesson, I will carefully explain the process of understanding the content accurately and generating a summary sentence using university entrance exam-level review text as material.
By repeatedly practicing, you can improve your
〈Reading comprehension - the ability to accurately grasp what the other person is saying〉 and
〈Summarazing - the ability to summarize and output the information in a concise manner〉.
This is a skill that not only students but also working adults would do well to brush up on as a part of their daily skill!
I hope this will help you improve the quality of your dozens to hundreds of daily verbal inputs and outputs, from your daily work to casual communication and information gathering activities, and help you to lead a more intellectual and exciting life.
